Instead, we take a more relaxed and intimate approach, allowing you extra time to fully enjoy each location. This slower pace gives you the opportunity to truly immerse yourself in the culture, heritage, and way of life that make Newfoundland so special.

With our smaller vehicles, we can venture into places that big buses simply can’t reach. Our expert guides, who are also skilled photographers, know the best hidden gems off the beaten path—far from the typical tourist attractions—ensuring a truly unique and authentic experience.

Itinerary

Day 1: Tuesday, August 5th – Arrival and Welcome Dinner

Arrive in St. John’s by 6:00 PM and settle into the cozy Jag Hotel. Start your adventure with a delightful welcome dinner where you’ll meet your guide and fellow travelers. Over a delicious meal, we’ll discuss the week’s itinerary and preview the sights and experiences to come.

Day 2: Wednesday, August 6th – Cape Spear Sunrise and St. John’s Highlights

Start the day with a visit to Cape Spear, the easternmost point in North America. Enjoy the serene beauty of the Atlantic Ocean at sunrise and explore the historic Cape Spear Lighthouse, a National Historic Site.

Return to St. John’s for a leisurely midday break, where you can relax or explore the city’s shops and cafes at your own pace.

In the evening, visit Signal Hill to watch the sunset over St. John’s Harbour. Marvel at the panoramic views, historic architecture, and colorful Jellybean Row houses as the day winds down.

Day 3: Thursday, August 7th – Southern Shore Exploration

Travel along the southern shore of the Avalon Peninsula, stopping at highlights such as the Ferryland Lighthouse and Tors Cove. Take a boat ride to see puffins and thousands of seabirds in their natural habitat. This relaxing day combines coastal sightseeing with unforgettable wildlife encounters.

Day 4: Friday, August 8th – Scenic Drive to Bonavista

Journey to the picturesque Bonavista Peninsula, known for its rugged coastline and charming villages. Check into your accommodations before exploring the Cape Bonavista Lighthouse and the stunning landscapes that surround it.

Enjoy a leisurely evening and immerse yourself in the unique atmosphere of this historic area.

Day 5: Saturday, August 9th – Puffins, Icebergs, and Seascapes

Spend the day discovering the highlights of Bonavista, starting with a visit to Elliston, home to Newfoundland’s most famous puffin colony. Watch these delightful seabirds up close as they nest and fly above the dramatic cliffs.

Continue to The Dungeons, where you’ll witness striking sea stacks and arches carved by the Atlantic. Later, take a zodiac boat ride for an up-close view of Newfoundland’s stunning coastline, icebergs, and even whales if they’re in the area.

Day 6: Sunday, August 10th – Scenic Return to St. John’s with a Stop in Trinity

After breakfast, begin the return trip to St. John’s with a stop in Trinity, one of Newfoundland’s most charming fishing villages. Explore its colorful houses and historic architecture, a perfect way to wrap up your sightseeing adventure.

Arrive back in St. John’s with time for last-minute shopping or relaxing before your final night.

Day 7: Monday, August 11th – Departure

Enjoy a leisurely breakfast before checking out. Depart with cherished memories of Newfoundland’s stunning landscapes, fascinating wildlife, and rich history.
